that another hard thing, coz you have to purchase the item from them in the first place, then how can you prove the other car dealer have the cheaper price? as you know most of them you just haggle the price when you visit the car dealer. no way the car salesman put the price behind of their business card.

Well, if you've ever leased a car you'd know that they will not do it without a written quote. I lease a new car through work every 2 years now as part of a salary sacrifice package (Prosperity) and they won't do shit without written quotes; nor will my accountant!
Yeah, dealers don't like doing it, but good salespeople know they've gotta be fair dinkum with customers that know what they're talking about or they don't get the business; simple as that! Your friend is an idiot, and you need to do more research so you can walk into the dealers better informed or they'll keep ripping you off.
