Aussie SIM for Incoming SMS Messages overseas

Hi all,

Merry Christmas. Asking for a friend who lives in the US, he needs an Aussie sim to receive incoming text messages, that's all. What would be the cheapest option please?

      Don’t think this has roaming to receive txts in the US

    My boost sim received sms fine while in the USA, it was connected to a local network all the time. I hadn't added a roaming credit to my account, just using my 1 year plan/credit as is

    PS I'm sure any Aussie sim will need to be activated while in Australia
