    Thanks for the reply. It is not recommended to have wood cages for ferrets tho, according to some website, as it absorbs fluids like urine and become smelly. I think I might end up making a cage out of wire mesh as they seem to be much cheaper and I might get to make these crazy 6-level mansions :P Still looking :o

  They can be very, very nasty little suckers (well, biters actually)! Be very wary of them around kids, they are not as tolerant as other pets and they can latch on real tight!

  I speak from experience, we had them as kids for rabbiting; and despite being well treated they could be very cantankerous little buggers! ;)

    Thanks for the advice, but there're no kids hanging around as I live in an apartment building :( Where do you go and catch rabbits? Maybe I will take my beloved ferret and go to the nearest park….

      It was way back when ferreting, shooting & trapping rabbits was still legal! ;)

      In hindsight however, trapping in particular was terribly cruel, I couldn't do it now! :(

        lol yeah apparently ferrets are the best apartment pets :) they are quiet and sleep a lot, makes perfect pet for ppl trying to hide their pets away from the evil body corporate :P
