I have a pair for six months and it's been reliable… as much as the Tuya platform allows. Tuya platform has been down occasionally and plug smart features need the platform to work. You can flash firmware though.
2 have just blew this week. It's been 6 good months.
Any idea why they might have blown? What were you using them for?
I found another instance of failure and the picture doesn't inspire confidence
One I smelled burns and it was used on my fridge. I didn’t open it.
One just died and it was used on my heater. I felt crackling when I shook it.
My other two are still working, one used on a power board which has been fine 90% time. I have a lot of devices on that power-board including TV and Mac Mini. I detached it because that 10% is annoying. This one was fine I think.
I gave away the remaining one. I assume it has been fine or it’s not worth complaining if it’s not.
Planning to turn your fridge on/off remotely? :p Or purely for the energy monitoring?
I have 2 of them… worth noting using the Tuya app (https://apps.apple.com/au/app/tuyasmart/id1034649547) as it is much better than the Kogan one. And this product is rebranded Tuya.
Has anyone had a problem with these randomly turning off? I bought the 4 pack about 5 months ago and they were all fine for a while and now are all doing the same thing - one in particular is guaranteed to switch off between 4-5 mins, the others may take longer but will do it. I've reset them, tried the Tuya app to rediscover them, but still doing it - using Kogan original firmware.
I was thinking about buying some smart plugs but there seem to be a bunch of complaints like yours where they just shut off. Guess i'm better off not bothering, oh well.

Reasonable but energy monitoring has a little lag not as responsive and quick as hs110 when consumption changes
Is this reliable? I want to plug the fridge in it so it must be reliable.
