The laptop above is currently on sale from ~1900 and is now $1099 or so. I'm looking to upgrade from my current laptop (Dell inspiron15 3000 series). I plan to use it for an allround laptop, from uni work (IT student), productivity such as multiple office 365 programs etc being opened for assessments as well as light/decent gaming (FM19/20, looking to be able to have a save with a relatively large database + multiple leagues).
Besides whether or not how decently this laptop will do the trick, what is the general consensus or your thoughts on it if you've used the same laptop or a similar model.
It's just the next generation E-series, a follow up of ThinkPad E490. 10th gen Intel CPU and slightly lighter — that's all. Only 1 SIMM slot though for memory.
Have a look at the current E495 deal with R5 3500U — much better deal IMHO.
