Premium or Luxury, Hyper Realistic, Faux Christmas Trees

So I am planning to save up for a really nice Christmas tree.

As tall as my ceiling allows, with as many tips as i can find, maybe prelit, foldup-able. Most of all as realistic as I can find.

I've been checking out Balsam Hill https://www.balsamhill.com.au/ for a few years, I need to find a showroom and see in person before I finally commit, but they have the best look I have seen.

But I was wondering if there is anywhere else you can buy that quality?

    Target

    • Seconded. We've had our Target tree for 3 years now and it's great. Very realistic looking. I think it was around $90 at the time 6ft+.

Christmas is next year for Ozb's buying a tree. Tree buying starts Thursday.

  • You can buy quality trees just about anywhere in Australia - your location may help!

balsam hill trees are second to none. if you get lucky on ebay they pop up for sale second hand for half price quite often. they are expensive but they are worth it especially for the most realistic selections

    • thanks for letting me know about the second hand market. why do they get resold though?

newer models came with a simpler lighting system to connect up which replaced the previous gen one ,

previous gen: had to click about 20 plugs to built in power boards on tree. took 5 minutes,
newer gen : slide the centre pole into the other poles and the electrical connections are built into the main trunk so no connecting up the little plugs.

i picked up one on auction, it was far from where i live and picked it up for 450, retailed new for 2.5k so there are some excellent bargains if you get lucky

        • cool thanks!
would you say that it looks as good in real life as in the photos? or that it looks like a real tree?
would you say it seems like it is going to last for a long time?

@bargain huntress: the photos dont do it justice, the realistic branches are all laid out from the middle of the branches to the tips, for the back end of the branch closer to the trunk they have the filler ones that are still decent but you dont see them as they are mainly there to fill in the tree, the nice ones on the end look very good and real, the built in lights are very nice and all tied to each branch carefully.i would say it's built very well,

The tree and the yellow lights are all part of the tree, newer ones now have colour lights but still a awesome tree
