Greetings everyone, Umart have dropped the price on these earphones once again :)

Price match at Officeworks for a 5% price beat, bringing the price to $189.05. Edit: For NSW/QLD where pick up is available. Elsewhere the delivery cost will need to be included in price beat if Officeworks are following their policy.

  Bugger, saw this and blurted “Oh noes, paid $10 more for these airpods at OW price matching the $209 bigW deal this week”to Mrs Entropy. Forgot Miss entropy was also at the table, for who they are intended. She is now very happy, and I have ruined the Christmas surprise and Mrs entropy will ensure I am on my way to the doghouse.

  I already have the Jabra Elite 65t. But I think I want to give them to my sister, would the Airpods be a decent switch?

  The only downside of the Jabras are they get uncomfortable, especially wearing over a long period of time.

    I own jay bird one, the sound quality and the pairing of the Airpod is much better, although I very occasionally find there is a possibility of misplacing or dropping from the ear canal while skipping rope

    I think it would depend on how deep you are into the Apple ecosystem. If you don’t have Apple devices or only have an iPhone, I would stick with the jabras.
    The 65t are decent sounding, but the AirPod comms chip inside means high reliability of connectivity for Apple devices compared with typical Bt, and it also means if you have multiple Apple devices the on the fly continuity when switching between devices is not matched (eg switching between iPhone/iPad/ MacBook/Apple TV transfers to the place you are with the music with a pull down menu click).
    Reviewers never seem to take that particular feature into enough account, and hence seem surprised at Airpod popularity.
