Made in USA, available in limited size 7,8,9,10,12,13.
$280 on New Balance website at the moment and seems to be reviewed as one of the most comfortable shoes . I think the last time they were on sale for this same price , but this can be stacked with Amex offer ($40 off $100 promotion to make it $142)

Edit: https://www.platypusshoes.com.au/mens-990-m990bk5-blk.html#9… $140 at Platypus but size 8 only

          description updated

  • Won't catch me ever paying over a $100 for NB's.

I love New Balance… I have wide feet and their wider sizes are very comfortable.

But NO WAY I'm ever paying $182 for a pair of NB.

I pick them up for $75-100 when they come up on sale here on OzBargain. That's maximum.

Understandable, especially when we often see NB go for $50, even less. However these are a slightly different breed of NB being Made in the USA and a classic sneaker with history. So the build quality and material used is a step up from the cheaper NBs.

I don't think I have ever seen any 990 variants for under $100. The closest was when the 990v4 were on clearance for $140 earlier this year, just before the 990v5 released.

So the sheep will happily pay 200 for some Chinese made ultraboosts but not a USA made NBs

not an employee of NB/Iconic but I think this pair is a classic and you are paying for quality. If you have Amex it will make it pretty much same price with a pair of Ultra Boost. There are a few reviews on youtube as well
