  • Starts 20/12. No good for the 30L I bought a few days earlier

    • +1

Just buy again and return under old invoice. Therefore you have new invoice to claim.

      • Can we return tinted paint?

        • If its a white base paint then you could buy the white paint and return it. Ie dulux mix light colours using white paint so depends.

        • Good idea above Westham. My paint is tinted and Bunnings have a no return policy on tinted but I could buy standard white base and return it. The receipt doesn't show the difference.

To Edsanwong, maybe that's your answer too. Trying to return tinted paint (even if the shop allows it) is pretty low unless its' an extremely common popular colour, but I doubt any shop would take tinted back anyway.

On a side note, it's a shame they don't include the equally as expensive 3-in-1 Primer from their range, which I have been buying loads of. I guess they don't want to reward people doing the right thing and using both products in their range, that would cost them twice as much in gift cards.

          • @Click_It: But isnt it tinted paint has sticker and label on the can (what colour) sorry I dont get it. Not planning to return any though. No more painting for me.

In reg Taubmans primer 3-1, thanks for your info, is better than other primer?

            • @Edsanwong: Yes tinted will have a printed label on it. What Westham was saying is, buy a new non-tinted paint, and then return it with the original tinted paint receipt. The receipt itself doesn't distinguish tint so the shop won't know. This is not cheating anyone as you still have your tinted paint, you've just returned the new unopened, non-tinted paint with the pre-redemption receipt. Does that make sense? This hot weather, brain is fried.

As for primer question, I've found Taubmans Primer 3-1 to be great but the only comparable I have is Dulux which is equally great (at a slight premium $)

I'm not a professional painter, but I spoke to one the other day who is doing the same job as me (spray painting brick exterior) and he's using the same 3-1 Primer and Taubmans All Weather for the finish coat. The top of the line Endure he says is not necessary but the All Weather paint is the cheapest he'd ever go also. So it's the best bang for the buck for a professional finish.

Final note on Primers, check the finish paint as some have primers built in. I'm only using a primer because I need to seal up the mortar in the brickwork. Indoors I didn't use any primer, just 2 finish coats.

              Hope this helps.

  • thanks for sharing, was about to buy some exterior paint so went along with taubmans so can claim this

but after I lodged my claim, seems like they'll send a digital prepaid card, that needs an app (Vault Payment Solutions) to access?
so I installed the app and tried to open it, but there are only (+44) areas listed as able to be used?
UK, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey?

anyone used this app before can advise on if it's usable here or how to use it? maybe I missed some instructions somewhere…

    cheers in advance

actually don't mind me… found it here

    hopefully it'll work~

  • Thanks OP, needed some Taubmans for some patchup work on my walls. 4l of Endure at Bunnings was $72.90 so just over the limit.

  • Has anyone's redemption been processed yet?

    • I was just thinking the same? I didn't even get a confirmation email nor any further sms/communication from them? couldn't find a contact via the promotion webpage, so I sent them an email via the general enquiry … let's see if they'll be able to help

      • Just received an email this morning that my claims has been validated, and a SMS will be sent out within 10 business days.

  • SMS with gift card activation code received this afternoon.

  • after several contacts via facebook and few unsanswered emails and a phonecall…
finally got my sms with the activation code
