  • This is out on PSPlus on January 2nd, albeit not the Complete Edition.

I googled it and it's actually going on PS Now next month, not PS Plus. I've never heard of PS Now so I googled it as well, and it's basically a Netflix-like streaming service for games … that is not currently available in Australia.

      • I don't think any game streaming service is going to be available in Aus any time soon.

The ping is not viable unless they set up local servers, and they're not going to do that for such a small market.

      • Crap, you're right actually.
I was convinced this was on PS Plus from January.

I think in the last month or so, a lot of news outlets were predicting this to be on PS Plus but obviously it didn't happen.

      • Assuming you already have a US account.
Buy some US psn vouchers, and you can sign up for PSNOW with wallet funds, download the games, and play on your Australian account

        • Except you have to keep your PS Now subscription active to keep your access to the games on it. So, sure, subscribe for a month… if you want access to the game for a month.

          • @the shadow: Well yeah. No different to PS plus (or Gamepass, or even Netflix)

            • @BargainEnjoyer2022: Uh, you're really suggesting someone start an entirely new subscription to another service (PS Now) just for one game for one month? Instead of purchasing it outright (cheaper, too) from this deal?

              • @the shadow: You commented about PSnow not being available in Australia. I was telling you how to access it

I don't know why you're being purposely obtuse.

              • @the shadow: Also, a lot more games on there besides Horizon..

                • @BargainEnjoyer2022: This is a thread about a particular deal; all comments are said with that particular deal in mind. I said PS Now is not available in Australia, therefore this deal is still valid. You decided to take that and go off on a tangent about that particular service.

Which you also clearly don't know much about. Do you have PS Now? There are lots of games, yes, but the best games (such as Horizon) go on it for a limited amount of time and then disappear completely. You also can't "download" some games (unlike PS Plus); you must stream them. And streaming doesn't actually work in Australia with PS Now.

I just don't think it's wise for you to suggest that someone should sign up to an unsupported PS Now in Australia and, in context of this thread, gain access to Horizon Zero Dawn for a very limited time.

(PS: I already know how to access PS Now. I have exactly what you have suggested: a US PS Plus account, where I play all my games obtained there on my Aussie account. But that wasn't my point.)

@the shadow: I said a couple of sentences in response to your statement on PSnow
if anything you're the one going off on a tangent.
I never suggested people sign up just to play Horizon for a month (I didn't suggest people sign up at all, for that matter)

"this thing isn't available in Australia" - "well it is with a small workaround"
that should have been the end of it. not sure why you got so hung up over this.

                    • @BargainEnjoyer2022: Sigh. I guess you really don't take context into consideration; that is, why people even bother commenting here and how others reading said comments will take it. Here are the "translations": what is actually being said/how they're actually being read.

Deviner: Horizon is going on PS Plus next month, so don't bother buying this cheap deal, because you'll get it free next month with your PS Plus membership anyway.

Me: Actually, it's going on PS Now, so don't skip this deal if you have PS Plus because it's going on another service 99% of Aussies can't/won't be bothered to get access to. This deal is valid.

YOU: Well actually you can access it, follow these workaround instructions SO YOU CAN ACCESS IT (otherwise… what is the point of your comment??? You ARE telling people IN THIS THREAD "hey if you DO THIS you CAN SIGN UP to this service and GET HORIZON).

(You think this initial comment of yours "should have been the end of it". Uh, no, I disagree. If I ignored your comment, people would read it and think "oh sweet I can do that, no one has said it's a bad idea, I might try it". So I had to respond with this:)

Me: No, don't do that, that's incredibly silly!

(Again I reiterate: I responded to your initial comment ONLY to get this point across so that NO ONE reading your comment would actually think it was a good idea and do what you suggested… just to get Horizon, because that is the context of this thread. Please realise what thread you are in; the only people reading this are those who were thinking about purchasing Horizon from CDKeys.)

YOU: I'm just telling you how to access a service I actually have no idea about.

                      Me: FACEPALM.

Not sure why you're going around suggesting workarounds for a service you really know nothing about. PS Now really doesn't function as well in Australia as it does in countries with native access. If you DID know the limitations of the service here, you really wouldn't have suggested a workaround for it in this thread at all, because you would've known it wasn't sound advice for people to follow. You act like words have no power; they do, and your comment could've easily made some people think PS Now was a good service to sign up to for this game, if I hadn't responded.
