Can I still watch blu-ray movies with these?

    • +3

      Yes but not blue movies.

        RIP Avatar.

  • Hi OP,

Why are these the ‘best’ blue light blocking glasses?

  • +2

If they block blue light, why are they clear and why is the white background behind the glasses still white …….

  • Bought a pair of these a while back. They do help with eye strain if you're looking at screens for long periods.

Not sure this is a bargain though. I think I paid the same price.

The dozens of free applications out there that also reduce colour temperature (as well as the one built in to Windows 10) do the same thing.

      • Sadly it's a feature missing form the nintendo switch. That's why I bought them!

        • I'd almost guarantee your TV has a mode built in to reduce it.

          • @Tacooo: I play the switch in handheld mode in the evening

  • 6 dollars isn't really a bargin…

    Search ebay:
    blue light blocking glasses
    Filter Aus stock
    Sort by cheapest
Plenty of $9.50 pairs that have identical photo minus the branding
This is most definitely a push of their product
Sorry couldn’t post link, don’t know how without comment being removed

Sure hope this hype doesn't make it over to Australia, saw this video recently about these so called blue light blocking glasses:

    Cheaper on eBay…

A few things to keep in mind

    Blue light isn't "harmful"

The issue with blue light is it tells the brain it's day time and to suppress production of melatonin (sleep hormone).

Blue light blocking glasses are great in the evening but not something you'd wear during the day when you want to be alert and awake.

Personally I love my blue light blocking goggles but feel you can get these at a better price.

    Thanks

  • The frames are pretty bad quality

Blur light blocking is a sham, and as others have mentioned there are cheaper options anyway.

    • This is true. Most devices have a blue light filter mode anyways, for the evenings when you might see some benefit from using it.

  • Blue light is not harmful. The biggest source of blue light is the sun, and we've been doing fine with it for a few billion years now.

  • Plenty of cheaper options out there on eBay

  • I bought a pear of the clears ones.
Screen looks exactly the same as opposed to my 3yo blue light glasses.
    Totally Not legit.
