Why on NBN WiFi is the 5GHz connection faster than 2.4GHz? Is the NBN WiFi speed delivery commitment 5GHz or 2.4GHz?

Niether. You're talking wifi, not NBN. 5ghz is higher frequency, so it's faster, but shorter distance.
The 5Ghz is also likely to be less congested in highrise buildings, so less interference.

there's probably shorter vids but I found this guy amusing

.The NBN commitment is the wired speed. Your wifi speed is really your problem.
You're talking about the Wifi that your NBN modem/router outputs. 5ghz (Wireless AC) is much better than the older A/B/G/N protocols. I think it also makes a bit of difference that not everyone is using 5ghz yet, so there's less congestion on those channels and frequency.
NBN use neither 5Ghz nor 2.4Ghz.
