Need recommendation for Sit/Stand Desk (I made a comparison sheet)

I know there have been discussions about this but I still cannot make up my mind. Also it is hard to compare between each as there are many different brands out there and the prices vary. So I made a sheet which putting all some known brands/models for us/people to easily compare. Guests can add comments and you are welcome to throw some other desks.

I will keep updating the sheet.

I would like to get some opinions from people who own any of these desks or any not even on the list. I am particularly looking at the one size is above 150cmx75cm.

We got the white one from Costco and it seems to be pretty good. This is the US site, it is about $AU469, from memory, here.

You have to be a Costco member but if you don't like it you can return it.

    • Interesting - the Americans are being ripped off by the currency!

    • This looks really good but too bad it's only 120cm. Also doesn't seem to mention how much weight it can take.

The only thing I would look into is if you have an issue with the cross bar, on whatever you are looking at. It can be a bit annoying with your feet. Not sure what you are intending to put on it but ours works well with the laptops, the monitor and the printer. We are also, short arses so the height is right for us. You can lock off the riser button but sometimes we forget and it is hysterical listening to the thing go up when the cat walks across the buttons. Best of luck with the search.

We've got the Stilford S2 at work with a cable tray and desk separator attachment.
They look good and feel sturdy, motorized elevation is quiet and you can set the controller to remember up to 4 of your preferred heights (I only use 2 sitting and standing. extra heights might be useful for a shared desk.
    Manual control is reasonable too.
The desktop is a decent width and depth.

My only real complaint about it is that the motor controller is positioned at the top of my left leg when I'm sitting with my feet propped on the star base of my chair.
It's not an injury risk, just a minor annoyance and probably only for those of us with long legs.

The other potential annoyance might come if you're tall.
I'm (only) 183cm and have the desk height maxxed out in standing mode, top of the desk is at my elbow height.

    • There are plenty of solid desks out there which are suited to people well over 2m.

Don't forget a good fatigue mat

    • I got fatigue mats for my kitchen. They are great for standing on during food prep, cooking and washing up. I got several so I can move from one area to the other without needing to move the mat.

  • Useful information,thanks

  • Hi guys,

This post is almost 2 years old and I'm looking for a motorized desk… Please suggest a Black/Walnut approx. 150cm desk. Considering many got into sit/stand desks during the pandemic, would like to get some reviews on a desk that doesn't break the bank. Thank you.
