Free Security Camera App for Android

I have a spare Mobile mounted on a tripod now. This is to watch my letterbox only.

I am looking for an app which allows me to select the motion detection area. My letterbox is not too far from a small palm tree so I get motion detection triggered all the time.

BTW I found that my Aliexpress order has been shipped to somewhere in Perth. I would still monitor my letter box anyway.

Update: I am using the free version of Alfred Security Camera and highly recommend it.

      I have installed Alfred camera for now. It has a higher rating that the one you mentioned.

      Have you used the app in the link? I understand that most products will do what I want but it is good to have a firsthand review of a recent version.

        been using alfred now for about 3 years, with 5 x old samsung s5

        honestly i've never had an issue with it, and i actually paid for the full version.

        as long as your mindful about leaving a phone plugged in charging 24/7

        i check them once a week, to either update the app, but mainly to feel the battery for swelling.

        i've had one phone battery swell up and just swapped it out.

        but yeah for a free app it works wonders

          It shows disconnected after few hours. I am using the free version.

    I used to use a cheap laptop & webcam with software to trigger motion,
    you will get better resolution

      Actually my mobile has 5MP camera and is very clear.

        It is OK and not too much PITA. They do have a good product and I may be paying for the full version.

        BTW it saves the videos on its own website for 7 days. Very useful
