Hi all,
Just looking for suggestions on finding cooking books.
I accumulated high quality books and I'm trying to find good home for them.
Any suggestion.
I'll keep Jamie Oliver ones. Rest I want to find a good home.
Over 20 cookbooks.

Morning! You might need to give your location to get better information. 🙂
I'm in Sydney
Street library - take a book, leave a book (or just leave a book). Don't put it all in one to get the maximum usage of your books.
Thanks. This is great idea. I might Google local one.
donate them to the 1800's.
Local Neighbourhood House might also be an option.
Sydney Uni annual Book Fair: https://sydney.edu.au/engage/visit/chancellors-committee.htm…
Gumtree, hopefully a young culinary student or similar will take them and put them to good use.
This is ideal
I've done it with baby products and other stuff that I can't be bothered selling, has generally worked out well.
My wife
She needs cooking help
Donate to Meals on Wheels.
Our kids school had a book sale at their annual fair. Asked parents to donate books, with all sales going to the school. I thought that was a good idea.
Yeah. Something like this would be perfect.
Donate it to Lifeline. They hold book fairs every 1-2 months. All proceeds keep their service going. You can drop the books off at West Lindfield or Gordon.
Rotary have a store in Oatley (near train station) where they sell donated books. It is very run and catalogued. Looks like a regular book shop. They accept book donations here. It is called Mulga Road Books.
Gumtree or Facebook marketplace. Sell them for $1 each or $20 for the lot or whatever you feel you could get for them.
Post in a local buy nothing group, I’m sure someone will have a need for them.
Second hand book shops may offer you a price - but get ready for the typical violin: "Oh business has been slow of late… the rain… people don't know about the election, they spent too much already… it's the economy"… and then offer you 50c per book.
Find a school. Find community cooking halls. Find St Vinnies. Just give them away.
Whereabouts in Sydney?
Donate to a cooking school, reference material for someone.
I'll Google cooking school in Sydney
there is a food college at Top Ryde, and i'm not sure if the one i attended at East Sydney Tech at Paddington is still going
I had a customer of mine, that had the most amazing kitchen (Stainless Steel benchtop, with 2 deep fryers), which was compplimented by 2 large bookshelves, full of cookbooks. I was blown away by how many they had. Then he said, take a look in the lounge room, which had ANOTHER 2 bookshelves.
Salvation Army, Vinnies or any other church shop would love them. Don't be offended if they sell them for $1 each though. Most people I know use the internet for recipes.
