  • What’ does capped at $50 mean

    • +2

      Maximum cashback is $50.

    • Max

    • +6

      Not 51 52 53 54 only up to 50

      Have a random guess

  • Where can I see buying gift card from Auspost is eligible for 5% cash back through shop back?

    • +1

      In the OP link -

5% Upsized Cashback on Gift Cards

  • Cashback cap is per transaction or per account ??

    thanks Dealbot

    • +1

I'm guessing per transaction. If it's per account then it would usually have the following -

…capped at $X and limited to one transaction per customer. Subsequent transactions will be declined post campaign.

      • oooo… if so… the deal is now interesting !!
should I confirm this somehow before ordering multiples??

        • How can we be sure?
Any shopback rep who can confirm?

      • +1

        Can confirm its unlimited

        12 transactions done
        12 tracked in an hour

        Edit: for aust post

        No idea about first choice

Will this code for 1000 bonus Flybuys points void the First Choice cashback?

    https://www.firstchoiceliquor.com.au/specials/bonus1000

    • I have same question.

    • I would say it would not as I have always received cashback from first-choice at shop back and I use flybuys code for all my purchases.

      • @highdealer just to confirm, you have previously used flybuys points promo codes and successfully got shopback cashback?

        • +1

          YES

There are multiple success but my flybuys history can only go so far. I have many other First Choice cashback pending as well and i am sure they will go through.

          • @highdealer: I think they normally have the extra flybuys promotion on Shopback's page but this time it is not there. So, I am also unsure if key in flybuys promo code you are still eligible?

            • +1

@kizashi: I use coupon that was target to me before too, same deal with cashreward. The flybuys coupon doesn't really affect cash back at all.

            • @kizashi: Confirmed. Has tracked.

  • What are the T&Cs, eg how many times can you buy?
Can you stack Amazon gift cards on top of the Shopback's usual cashback?

    • +3

Cashback is only payable on order value (excludes taxes, shipping and packaging costs) and is valid on orders paid for with gift cards (not orders with Amazon credit)

      https://shopback.com.au/amazon-australia

  • Are the giftcards delivered instantly?

    • +1

      Physical GC, so no

      • +7

        And VERY slow delivery

        • I got mine within a few days last time so not necessarily

    • +1

      The direct opposite of instant
      Forever!

    • +1

      Over 2 weeks last time.

  • Can eBay gift cards be used in conjunction with the frequent 5% off / 20% off etc promo codes?

    • +2

Yes, done so myself in the past.

    • +1

      Yes you can

    • +1

      yes

  • +6

    I find AUS POST is
    1. constantly out of stock during promotion
    2. delivery takes ages, more than 10 days, needs to lodge customer enquiry every time
    3. so inconvenient when the parcel always requires signature, they just can't Safe Drop it, should learn from Amazon
    4. takes forever when I call them to activate gift cards (compulsory when order is $200 or over)

I stop buying from them. Although they may be 1% higher than others, I still buy from alternative sources.
    Such a painful experience

    • +3

They can't activate my amazon cards over the phone cause they can't find my Amazon cards record from their system, but I have received them already. What a mess!

      • omg, did they refund you?

        • The guy I was talking with was quite nice , he only asked me to send a photo with the backside of cards. Problem solved the next day.

          • +2

@Smallman: You are lucky. I bought 5×$50 Amazon gift cards on 02/11/19. Two cards couldn't activate. They asked me to send them back to get replacements. It has been 3 weeks and still have not recieved the cards. Never again.

      • +1

my $100 amazon gift card wouldn't activate, they asked me to return it
my replacement should've been preactivated, they asked me to return it
and ask for x2 $50 GC's instead as the $100 are moreoften faulty

      • There is usually an activation delay so nobody can steal the cards. At least that's what happened when I bought Ultimate cards from another seller

    • Which are the alternate sources for discounted Amazon gift cards? Thanks

  • Cheers OP, more Xmas grog sorted!

  • Johnnie green $52.80 after ShopBack.

  • +2

Can rep/ or anyone confirm if the First Choice offer is 1 per account or can do multiple transactions?

    • i would like to ask this too please

      • Same here.
Can we get a confirmation from a rep?

  • +4

Remember Amex $10 cashback on $100 spend for First Choicevv

    • +2

YEP - just used that now…

      • me too

  • -1

any cap for ebay and amazon gift card?

  • Can rep tell me are you able to make payment using Coles Myer gift cards when using 1st choice liquor purchase?

  • Thanks OP, great deal.

  • Combining with the amex paypal deal makes for some cheap amazon credit
    :)

    • No tracking email yet…

      • Looks like no tracking…in click history but still nothing 12hours later.

The pains of non tracked cashback deals that can't be cancelled :/

  • Pretty sure Amazon cashback isn't valid when using gift cards? Not worth it then

    Edit: nevermind, it is valid.

  • thx, got some ebay

  • +1

$11 cashback on a $55 bottle of Belvedere works out a bit of a steal at First Choice at the moment.

  • Are Amazon cashbacks available when paying with a gift card?

How long is the expiry with the Amazon gift cards?

    • Yes

      Amazon.com.au Balance Expiration.
Your Amazon.com.au Balance and Gift Cards do not expire, including those with a printed expiry period or those previously subject to an expiry period.

  • Hi,

Can anyone confirm whether there is a cashback cap on eBay and Amazon gift cards? Also does it work for multiple transactions as eBay limit is $1000 for gift cards per checkout.

  • I would buy some GC for Boxing Day but it wouldn’t arrive on time. Australia post is too slow to post gift cards.

    • It will arrive before 2020 Boxing Day

  • Mine arrived pretty quickly (2 x $100) but I'm not having any luck activating them. I called Australia Post and they say from their end they are already activated but Amazon won't accept them. Anyone had any luck with this latest round?

    • +1

Aust post genuinely try to help

      Mine is funny.

Received mine, tried to activate, cant find paperwork,

I ask them to activate, they insist they havent sent it and there is no chance that i have received them,
      They still insist

So they sent me my order again, and now say they cant find them in the system even though i have the second lot in front of me

  • Normally I have 1 #@ up per 300 cards other places .

    Australia Post around 1 in 50 .

  • Bought ebay gift cards from Aust Post. Received 10 days later. Have to wait a few more days as they work only mon-fri excluding public holidays, to activate by phone. Staff said they can’t find the order number in the system (how were they able to process and send if the order was not in system?). He said will look into it and get back next day. Took another 5 days before he contacted me to say they will activate now. This is/was 2019, other eftpos and gift cards can be activated online 24/7. Seems like Aust Post has a lot of manual process behind the scene and poorly trained staff causing human errors…

  • error

  • I made 3 separate orders of EBay gift cards to maximise the cash back (as it is capped). Only 1 was tracked, the other 2 did not track so I submitted claims for them, with screen shots of my purchases/order numbers. Two days later, Shopback responded to both claims "Order ID [XXX] was rejected because your order was not attributed to ShopBack". Therefore, I was only getting cash back from 1 out of 3 purchases although I went through the same process for each order, effectively 5% / 3 = 1.66% actual saving.
Moral of the story: Shopback tracking is flaky even after I followed their specific steps, from my experience 33% success rate. Consider Shopback as a bonus, work out the actual saving base on the cost you pay up front, don't rely on saving made through Shopback's cash back.
