Hol' up - DJI Spark for $100? Am I missing something? If that's legit, flip yeah get one. They're fantastic. I cannot fathom it selling for $100 though.

    Oops. It's a clone. I'm a DHead

    • yes, its a clone

  • I wouldn't trust or use a phone to control a quad.
Buy something cheap your first flight will be shorter than the battery charge.
Banggood specialise in quads and have a heap of youtube video reviewers https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC90A4JdsSoFm1Okfu0DHTuQ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3ioIOr3tH6Yz8qzr418R-g https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCX3eufnI7A2I7IkKHZn8KSQ

As a trainer starter JJRC H31 can take a hell of a beating spare parts readily available until you get the hang of it.
The frame's made out of a soft flexible plastic where as others are hard black plastic or carbon fibre one smash they snap game over.

My first drone was the Eachine e58. It wasn't actually too bad. Flew fast, controlled ok. Only downside, and I assume this will be the case with all of these budget drones, is the camera quality is shocking. The wifi it uses to transmit footage is choppy and doesn't go very far without breaking up a bit so you're better off flying LoS. Checkout that Spark clone's video feed and you'll see what I mean.

Basically the only reason you would get one of these drones is to learn to fly. I got into FPV drones from that first one and now I'm in over $1000 deep in gear.

So get something that will fly and take a beating. Don't get your hopes up for the wifi footage. Break it and if you liked it, spend some money on a proper drone.

    • Thank you!! looks like Eachine e58 - is around $65 in ebay… I am thinking to go with 2mp camera, as it would be a worse camera anyway

Yeah just also get the one with more than one battery. You may be able to buy them separately. Two is enough and three would be too many.
