I don’t think I’ve ever posted a deal, but now that I’m hooked on RM Williams boots I keep a look out.
These seem like a good deal! If I’ve posted the deal incorrectly please let me know!

Yep, I'd be wary of getting this until it's confirmed it's for a pair.
Even the description on the link suggests it is for one boot.
RM Williams Classic Adelaide Boot $430.63
Is there a discount if you buy the pair ?
The official shoe of the young liberals
I am a watermelon and I love these
Is it the left or right boot? I'm a pirate with a peg leg and only need a left boot.
bad luck, photo shows its for the right foot.
is the 430.63 price after cashback or before cashback?
Are these shoes made out of Robin/Robbie Williams's DNA? If not, why are they so expensive??
Who's gonna pay for drinks at company's Xmas party? You will if you buy.
Should I buy this or a Wheel for my Mac Pro?
Here is a question: When you buy a Lexus you are in essence buying a Toyota with padded leather seats and the technology that they hold back for the Toyota cars for a few years (to make the Lexus look more advanced). Now i know that the Lexus is 20% or 30% better than an equivalent style Toyota but it is generally twice the price (30% better for 100% more cost means i pay for the Lexus brand).
Is it the same with boots? I buy a pair of Hush puppy or similar for about $100.00 and put my ortho inner soles in (makes it very comfortable) will these boots be 4 times better than that?
Buy a pair and you will find out, not being sarcastic here.
I guess the simple answer is you won't know till you try. I was skeptical for so many years, and after reading all the posts some in favour of the brand and some simply mocking the brand and the associated cost - I thought I would bite the bullet and give it a try. My experience now is that if I can afford it, I will never buy another pair of Aquila, Hush Puppies, Window Smith shoes etc. again. The RM's are comfortable, hard wearing, easy to maintain and look good.
I heard this interesting quote while having lunch yesterday "The Chinese manufacturers cars, but they prefer to drive Mercedes".
Why would you buy a Hush Puppy in the first place? Just buy a Kmart $27 pair of boot. Do you think Hush Puppy 5 times better than KMart :)
Its more about how long these boots last. Ive had mine for 5 years or so. When they are taken care of properly, they last forever (Obviously there is a cost for maintenance too but its minimal)
re-soling is the cost of another pair of shoes.
I've only had to ever replace the rubber piece of the heel twice. $40 each time.
I wear mine 5 - 6 times a week for 5 years.
"Hush puppy or similar " Two things, ive owned Hush Puppies, they are crap. They last about 6 months. secondly, good luck finding shoes the same as RM for cheaper. About the closest you'll get are fake leather knock offs (Rivers, Windsor Smitth etc) or Blundstones/Baxters but they are not single leather boots or as nice leather. The RM leather is so soft and flexible. I own Three pairs of RM, four pairs of Blundstones. Had a pair of Baxters for 3 months and they split right open and Baxters wouldn't honour their warranty, their company is crap. RMs will last about 10-20 years depending on service and care.
the shoes i normally buy wears out from the sole. how can these last 10-20 years? surely the rubber sole will wear.
The sole barely wears, i wear mine 5-6 days a week for a good 12-18 months now and they look like they have been worn for about 2 weeks (comparing to your windsor smiths, $100-150 shoes etc).
The only thing that wears is the rubber heels, like all heels they start to slope and wear through on outer back corner - easy to get replaced though. That might just be the way i plant my foot and it wears through that way but i think a huge percentage of the population are like that.
I'm about 18 months into owning my first pair of RM's, they get worn 4-5 times a week, and they look and feel as good as they did day one. In comparison, after 18 months I'd be replacing my Aquila boots for another pair, so really, if the pattern (and RM's) hold, I'll be up financially in another year or so.
I've bought a second, different colour pair of RM's now, and honestly I can't see myself going back to cheaper boots.
how often do you polish them? and do your own maintenance
To all the naysayers, I'm 10 years into my RMs and just got them resoled by RM for $160 and should get another 10 years. Wear them 4 days a week in an office job.
Not bad to get 20 years out of shoes for $500ish.
really? took you 10 years to wear out the sole? do you like not wear them whilst commuting and only change to them in the office? lol
Question - the only thing that has started to wear on mine after 12-18 months are the heels - assuming you are getting them replaced more frequently?
My heels started wearing after similar, but they have a long time to wear down. I only got the resole done recently and have only had it done once.
My replacement was sole and the heel block as well, as I wore through the sole into the heel block.
These aren't magic shoes, if you are walking 3km per day in any leather shoes they will fail. They are just sturdier than most as Goodyear welt, single piece of leather, etc. Almost every other shoe I have owned has frayed stitching, soles that have split or cracked, soles that detach, etc.
Also the price is partially cause they are made in Australia, not knocked out of a sweatshop by a 6 year old.
how often do you polish them? and do your own maintenance
Roughly every 4-6 months. Use Saphir cream to polish it rather than the RM stuff. Also use leather honey on the inside to keep it soft.
Is this a women's boot? Can only find it under the women's section on the rm williams website…
People always talk about buying expensive stuff and then speak in its favour, sure it makes you feel premium (which is why companies charge 6x the price and getaway with it. Those products are 30% better quality not 600% better) there are benefits to owning target & Kmart shoes too. I put a soft sole in & I am set for a year. I get to upgrade to the latest trend every year. They are not hugh investment, certainly don't cost me half of my weekly income.
Sorry but kmart and target shoes are not the latest trend in any year.
Always a good idea to pay more for quality products which help you touch the ground: shoes, tyres and mattress.
For that price, I am getting 2 shoes right? photo only shows one.
