Acer or Dell for Curved Ultra Wide on PEACHY20?

I've been pouring through the recommendations for ultra wide screens for someone who wont game much, but wants the productivity and clarity.

Based on this poll The Acer takes the top of the pack though the Dell isn't mentioned. From what I've seen the Dell comes highly recommended.

Would the Acer gaming monitor at its lower price still be more worthwhile than the steadfast Dell branded monitor?

Back when I was looking for a gaming monitor of this size the ASUS PG348Q was regarded as having better build quality than the Acer X34 albeit for a higher price.
Checking prices today the ASUS seems to be the same price as that Acer Predator so perhaps you might add to that to your list.
(I bought the ASUS and I love it)

with the current situation, I am looking for a monitor that suites my set up
I have a macbook and a windows laptop and they both have type C port.

I want an ultra-wide monitor 34 inch maybe. I want it to be 4k or ultra HD, supports splitting the display between my devices, and if KVM is supported this would be excellent. Willing to pay ~1500

  The one I purchased (Dell U3419W) does exactly what you have mentioned.
  Have been looking daily and it was on eBay for $1150 with discount applied but didn't pull the trigger; regret.
