Advice needed for Christmas Gifts

Hello Dear OzBargainers.

Trying to find out a cost effective way to buy Christmas gifts for family & friends. Really appreciate if you can give some advice on buying Christmas gifts in bulk to make them cost effective.

Essentially looking for gifts cost $20 pp but looks more valuable.

I'm positive that our fellow OZBeez have some great ideas.

Cheers!!

Merry Christmas!!!

Yeah… Christmas gifts are things that should be personal, not something to outsource

Buy a Mr Men collection and give them one each.

Don't discriminate… Buy the Little Miss books too

      • I thought it should be personal..

Well, Little Miss Bitchface would be perfect for my ex, which would be very personal

    • Aldi have Mr Men & Little Miss mugs for $3.

      There, sorted.

Got me a Mr Grumpy one.

Buy a bunch of cheap baskets/gift boxes. Fill with snacks. Wrap in cellophane. Tie with string.
    You're welcome.

I mean, there's a guide for it already?

    Advise??? Advice maybe???
Buy a Christmas stocking and fill or partial fill with bits and bobs like chocolates, lollies, little cheap toys(children), adults… bits and pieces that might interest them (soaps, face washers, even cheap screw divers, tweezers etc etc etc). No need for big expenses, just let your imagination go wild on numerous but cheaper various little objects. That's just what I 🤔

Edit: Merry Xmas to you too 🤗

This is the most vague shit.
"I gotta get some stuff for some people. What do I do?"

  • Are you saying you want to get stuff circa $20 but “looks more expensive”? If so try to get stuff that you can’t easily verify the price of, so not anything with a popular brand. Eg handmade candles and stuff from markets

  • Talk to your family & ask if adults would donate to bushfires/other charity in lieu of gifts.

Easy to stay on budget, bonus tax deduction, limits plastic crap ending up in landfill next year

  • A crisp $20 note and a handshake.
