Dad only got hospital cover at the moment with HCF. He need unlimited ambulance over in Australia. Not just in nsw.
Which insurance to switch to please for hospital and extra?
Dad was in hospital quite often last year for lung infections. He normally go to public hospital than private.
I found bupa have 4 week free offer with no waiting for general dental, however they only have nsw ambulance covered in their offer.
Any other better deal?
This, get a referral to the local public oral health clinic and go from there. Often the same oral surgeons do the private jobs in your area just will have a waiting period all depending, it had teeth out in the chair so the waiting period was a month but my partner had to go to hospital, 4 wisdom plus 1 other tooth she had to wait a year but they bump you up if you are experiencing severe pain etc. Didn’t have the money obviously but that would have cost over $10k easily
I have not apply health care card for him yet, although he can get one.
It shouldn’t take long if he is already a pensioner, should have it already
It is a long wait for the applying process. And public dental is not taking patient until you got the card.

I am thinking of taking him to gold coast for Christmas. He has been in ICU a few times this year, so that it might be the last time he can make it.
If you don't have any luck you might be able to purchase ambulance cover separately for QLD.
