Greetings everyone, my first post. Please be nice :)

My Xbox live subscription got expired and I just noticed that it is $1 for a month at Microsoft store.

Not sure whether it would be available for all. But worth giving a try!

OP, can you stack it for more than one month ? If not, this one is a much better deal : https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/481996.

    • Unable to stack up more than a month.

Also, I tried the other deal. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. Guess it is targeted.

It shows up as $29+ for 3 months.

      • It might be because you already get the $1 for one month.

      • Gold and Ultimate access are shared across accounts on the console, so you can just make new accounts to take advantage of these deals, while playing on your main account.

        • True. Unfortunately the other deal is not working for a new account that I created.

It shows up $1 for a month deal only.

        • So, if our main account has expired pass (with some games downloaded), we can add other account with the deal and play the old game again, providing they're still available on the current pass (without redownloading)?

@hanofee: Yep, that's how I played The Outer Worlds, and AOE2:Definitive Edition.

Remember to cancel recurring billing straight away, too.

    • Edit:
Looks like this is a target deal

      • Do you have an active subscription?

If yes, check it out once it gets expired.

      • I saw it on my account as well but I was told that this one can't be stacked.

Hey thanks! Kids wanted to play a multi player game together and I went to the trouble of getting a second copy only to realise they both need Xbox Live to actually play together

    • You’re welcome :)

But Live subscription is required only if you want to play online with someone from a different/remote place.

For multiplayer game, I bet you can play without Live subscription. Could you please let me know which game kids wanted to play multiplayer?

      • Watch Dogs 2 - they're on separate consoles with different Xbox accounts.

        • Aah. Now I get it :)

Thought they tried to play in single console.

  • My Xbox had 3 months of Gamepass Ultimate for $1 (tile on home screen, had neither Gold or Gamepass)
