    Hmm.. Amazon price lock-in?

Note that prices may increase or decrease from delivery to delivery.

  • I'm seeing the price as $17.50

    • They have listed the subscribe price.

    • +1

$15.75 if you subscribe, you can always subscribe to get the cheaper price, then cancel once you get the first delivery.

      • Don't work if you cancel immediately after check out?

        • You need to wait for the first one to ship

          • +2

@dm01: In my experience cancelling the subscription immediately has still resulted in the cheaper priced item being sent.

    • what happened to this deal?

did it go back up to $20?

      • Now it's gone. I bought it and got it delivered as well.

  • +19

There is no cashback for subscriptions.

    • What is the cashback rate for tissues?

  • -6

The 24 pack at Woolies is $12, works out to $2 each if my calculations is correct. This pack works out to $2.85 so still cheaper to get from Woolies.

    • +2

      ???????are you kidding?

    • Amazon is cheaper then $2 per roll

      • +9

        *than

    • +1

      $17.50/45 = 0.39 cents per roll

      No cashback included.

    • +1

You just did it the wrong way around, it should be the cost divided by the number of units. 50c per roll from Woolies or 35c per roll from Amazon (at the subscription price).

If you're not sure you can usually do a logic check, if it's less than $24 for 24 rolls it's going to be less than $1 per roll, which is what I do when I'm having an off day.

  • $2 bonus cashback from shopback

    • +2

Really ? I thought it was only for Christmas gift shop items ?

    • +4

The bonus $2 is from the Amazon xmas gift shop section. But you are welcome to try your luck. Also bonus cashbacks don't usually apply to subscription items.

    • +7

You must give a lot of crappy gifts if you consider that it belongs on a Christmas gift list

      • +1

I'm considering gifting a giant box of nappies to someone. This is just the adult version ;)

      • Lol toilet rolls as Xmas gift seriously…

  • this is the subscription price. can you please mention the normal price op, which, in fact, is not a deal.
one may be subscribing by accident.

    • +1

Subscriptions are cancellable after the first delivery. So its basically the same as the normal price. You're mad not to take advantage.

For those who shop at Aldi, who buy their cheapest toilet paper, and who are wondering…

    Quilton
    45x Rolls
    3-Ply
    180 Sheets per roll
    11x10cm
    $15.75
    Price per 100 sheets = $0.194

    Aldi Confidence
    12x Rolls
    2-Ply
    260 sheets each roll
    11x10cm
    $3.65
    Price per 100 sheets = $0.117

    • +1

Thanx was going to calculate this im an aldi shoppet

    • +5

      Um… 2 ply vs 3 ply…

Also, this is well cheaper than the 20 for $10 at Coles @ 28c per 100 sheets.

      • +6

It's not just about the ply either, Quinton's ply is softer regardless of count :)

        Quality.

      • 2ply $0.117*1.5=$17.5, if same quality

    • +1

I'm drawing a blank - how much are the Aldi Confidence 3-ply? From memory it's around 17-19c/100sheets?

    • +6

      Compare the list here

    • +2

You are comparing prices for two different products. 2 ply vs 3 ply

      • Yep. I knew I wouldn't be the only one who doesn't care about how many ply it has - just which one is cheaper.

        • Aldi will be releasing a limited reusable 0.5 ply edition in the new year ;-)

  • +2

I could be wrong but subscribing doesn’t lock in the price.

Edit: yes it definitely doesn’t lock it in. It says it may change.

    • Thank you - left mine on 3 months.

  • PooP PaPeR

    • nO Sh*T!

  • SASINAB

  • 3 ply is the Devil's ply.

    • +1

      Diabolus in Latrinariam?

      • Diabolical latrine?

        • +1

Not quite, was making a reference to the term Diabolus in Musica (aka the "tritone", or Devil's Interval), which I presumed pete123 was referencing. Well-known term in music theory.

"Latrinariam" is actually Latin for "toilet paper", believe it or not. I didn't know they had a word for it either!

  • +1

Hopefully delivery is quick I'm busting.

  • +2

Now that my tailpipe has experienced 4 ply; I don't think I'll be returning to 3 ply.

    • +10

Just fold the 3 ply double and go 6 ply…

      • +3

At what point do I just use a piece of carpet?

        • +4

Good idea bro, use the softest cloth you can find and wash and reuse it…

  • Thats some cheap tp for my hunghole

  • +2

Subscription makes the delivery free. Great for those who don't have prime membership。

  • +5

I'm Jamie and I have had a toilet paper subscription to Amazon for two months now.

Glad I got that off my chest.

    • Hi Jamie! Thanks for sharing with the group…. Has anyone else anything to share here today? (Looks around the room)

    • Off your chest and straight onto your Tinder profile, you bad boy you….

  • +1

I just buy the 36 pack for $14 when on special.

  • Microfiber or nuffin.

  • Need 4ply specials back

  • +1

Wouldn't it be better to buy 1 pack when Shopback do their "spend $5 get $2 back" deal? Would bring the price of a single pack to $15.50 and then you'd also get x% back on top of that.
It comes back in stock pretty regularly

  • +1

How long does it take to deliver from Ship Creek?

  • Cheers

  • This has gotten even better today with Shopback's 12% cashback on all categories, just make sure you don't use Subscribe and Save! Makes it $15.40 per pack.

    • And the AMEX spend $100 get back $20.

  • No Prime Membership. Subscribed and cancelled. Perfect timing as moving into first home next week. Thanks OP!

  • price showing as 18.55 :(

  • Back in stock!

  • Good deal!

  • Price has dropped by 1c
