Normally on the high side of $80, I've seen this at BWS in Kilsyth Victoria and will definitely be getting a couple of bottles myself. It is advertised on their website so you could get it cheaper still at Dan's, by asking to price match.

Consider buying 3 to get 10x rewards points.
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/503202That deal has expired now :-( Otherwise, yes, it would've been a good one.
Yeah didn't realise when I posted last night that it's only available for a couple more hours. Hopefully others also managed to take advantage of that deal. I got that one and another targeted spend over X dollars at BWS get 1650 rewards points in the same transaction. And paid for with discounted Wish gift cards. Happy with that stacking :)
Thanks OP! My CFO likes bourbon and this will make me look like a good employee! :p
just bought a cask strength for my boss he's very happy
Thanks! Has great reviews - grabbed myself a bottle

D'Oh!
The full URL weirdly suggests it's a 750ml bottle but the page does (unfortunately) show it to be 700mL :-(
https://bws.com.au/product/767547/makers-46-kentucky-bourbon…The DM online store advertises it as a 700mL bottle but definitely saw it in store at 750mL on the weekend. Maybe it's just an oversight by everyone.
My memory is hazy and I'll probably get this wrong but I'll try give a little insight.
Back when vodka was gaining popularity some years ago, the master distiller for Makers Mark was set the task of bringing out a new Makers that worked on just slightly improving the original in all aspects. They ended up with recipe #46 and that's just what they decided to call the bottle too.Good thing they didn't stop at blend 43…
Memory is correct. They added extra wood staves into the barrels to give it more spice and recipe 46 was the one they liked the best.
It’s matured in French oak, rather than American oak so officially it’s not a bourbon, rather an American whiskey
Bourbon, by US law must be matured in American white oak
@El Draino: Not sure on the intricacies of US law but I believe it's matured in American Oak barrels like normal Makers and then 10 French Oak staves are added to the barrel for the final aging.
Normal price has gone down on this from $93 to $82
I didn’t neg you but no way is the normal price $93 on this one. I buy this frequently around the $75 mark. Boozebud and Dan’s have this at the normal $82 at the moment, and LL/First Choice have it at $75 on special.
I just changed the ticket price the other day at work from $93 to $82. Prices are always more expensive here and most likely the people in charge of pricing have worked this out. Not disagreeing with you at all but most likely an effort to boost sales.
My local decided to throw regular Makers in my CnC bag good thing I checked before leaving. Grabbed two 46's off the shelf both 750ml. Winning!
I went Dans because there is no BWS near me, had a shelf price of 93 and scans in their system as 750ml but is actually 700ml if you look at the bottle?
Saw a bottle in BWS before… I am sure it was 750ml.
Let me know, The ones I got say 70cl and there's a sticker on the back saying 700ml - 26 Standard drinks
Just bought a 750mL from BWS Naracoorte for $60. Guy said that's the last of the 750mL, new stock is 700.
Just picked up my click and collect x 2 bottles
Like the degenerate psshead I am - got home at midday from bws and now on my second glass - it’s a vibrant smooth whiskeyIt’s bizzare this offer because I eyed off buying it on eBay from nicks wine merchants for weeks, then my eBay plus $50 credit hit my account after pestering eBay over 4 seperate contact attempts (they finally paid up) to actually give me the credit. So last night I pulled the trigger in their 89.99 eBay price plus 10.00 delivery using my eBay credit and the next think I did was browse Oz bargain to my shock they had this deal. Thank crikey nicks accepted my order cancellation
Good find.. Passed your learners test
