Hi team, saw this at Costco docklands. Slightly cheaper than this deal excluding cashback.
There was about 6 left in stock, may have it at other Costcos. Seems to be $699-$799 elsewhere.

How does this compare to the HT-XT3?
i was looking at this for a while, waiting for the price to drop but unfortunately had gone with Yamaha ATS1090b from the black friday sale :(
Amazon had this for 398 on black Friday. I got JB to price match it. Over the last week I've been using it…I'm not impressed. Volume controls lag by 1 second after pressing the button and the so called atmos just makes it louder. I didn't really expect much for atmos since there are no upwards firing speakers but defs not worth at their usual price of $800 or so.
Planning to return them this weekend
Yeah I've got this on my bedroom tv and I treat it as a basic 2.1 channel soundbar. For that purpose it's quite good.
The Atmos is pretty misleading however. Absolutely no way you can get Atmos effect from 2 small drivers in a soundbar like this. Doesn't matter what audio trickery you use. I've got a proper 5.1.2 Atmos setup though so I wasn't too concerned with the bars "Atmos" capabilities. I knew that going in.
Definitely not worth RRP however. This price is acceptable imo.
Geeeez glad you told us!
How can you have Atmos and X on a 2.1 channel soundbar? You require minimum 12 speakers all position in specific spots too, relative to each other….
5.1.2 would be minimum
That's 8 speakers
Otherwise 7.1.4 is probably the 12 you are suggesting
Oh, yeah I meant with the 7.1 setup as base, heh…
Thanks OP.
I have deciding between this and the 8500.
Liked the external subwoofer compared to inbuilt.
