Logged into my Amex account this morning and saw this offer:

Save the offer to your eligible Card and spend $5 or more, in one or more transactions, online or in-app via the Google Play Store by 31/12/2019 to receive one $3 credit. Limited to the first 20,000 Cards to save the offer. Exclusions apply.

OFFER TERMS
* Only valid for payments made in Australian Dollars via the Australian Google Play Store.
* Payments can be made online at play.google.com or in-app via the Play Store Android app. Prior to making payment you must add your Card to your Google Play account.
* Offer is limited to one credit per Card to which the offer is saved and only spend on this Card counts towards the Offer.
* Excludes transactions where you do not spend directly with your Card to which the offer is saved, online at play.google.com or in-app via the Play Store Android app. Offer valid at Australian store only.

    Sorry to all those who haven't gotten it. If it's any consolation, I can't even really take advantage of this as I have so much Google Play credit built up from discounted gift cards that anything I spend will come off that balance instead of my Amex.

      You can change your payment method when you buy something. I also have Google Play credit in my account, but switched it to my Amex so I could rent a $5.99 movie for $2.99 with the Statement Credit

    Got it on mine, it was hidden down on Page 2.

    I'd love to pay $5 for a clone of Shifty Jelly's Pocket Weather, which is ending its life in a couple of weeks.

      Same. I narrowed my options down to Aus Weather Australia and WillyWeather. WillyWeather does not have widget and a little slow to load each time so I'll probably go with Aus Weather Australia.

        If the BOM had any sense, they would acquire SJ's Pocket WEather and just use that. Aus Weather Australia uses BOM data??

      I've tried both WillyWeather and Aus Weather.

      Having a difficult time choosing between them but Aus interface seems a little..cleaner?

        I've been looking at Elders Weather (free version) tonight.

        Apart from the colour scheme, I'm reasonably impressed. Especially by the Observations History data by the hour, for the month to date, and historical records for the chosen location.

        All in all, quite promising.

    how do they target these kind of offers? I would love to utilise this offer, but my Westpac Amex never seems to get these offers. Are they only offered to Amex direct customers?

    Don't know if targeted. Got 4 cards, offer only appeared first on card associated with amex app on android phone. Rotated the 4 cards on Amex app on my one android phone to register all. Interestingly, this is despite only 1 card was linked to google pay. Google pay offer did not show up on iphone or ipad Amex app.
