Not to be confused with the 2019 title, this is the remastering of the OG 2007 Modern Warfare. Still plays as great as it did when it first came out, and still has a fairly active online community. Probably my favourite CoD title. Great price for a classic game.

ohhh now I want to play it. I thought it was a reboot which trashed the legacy of one of the best games ever made. A prequel I can accept.
@PainToad: I really enjoyed the campaign. It’s quite short, and difficulty wise quite easy (breezed through it on Veteran whereas previous games I’ve s-t-ruggled) but it’s definitely worth a checking out.
@[Deactivated]: Yeah the series campaigns got a lot easier once they got rid of the unfair repeated spawns and the enemy spamming 'nades if you stand still for a little while.
@PainToad: it is a reboot moreso than a prequel. it does precede the events of the original MW but by the looks of the ending the next few games in the series will overwrite the old games. Can't say much more without spoiling it. Tremendous game though, best CoD since Black Ops 2
It's a different universe with characters that share the same names as the original characters. Some of them have been reinvented.
MW 2019 is a great game, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This. IW is one of the best CoD campaigns IMO.
The whole wall running/futuristic aspect put me off. I wasn’t big on Advanced Warfare, and was under the impression IW was like that with the futuristic stuff on steroids.
@[Deactivated]: IW doesnt play much like AW. It plays like a boots on the grounds COD, with a full fledged campaign that plays out like a war film. It is by far one of the best FPS campaigns ever made, not just a cod campaign.

Unless you're only into campaign, it's not a big loss. Multiplayer is a very crunchy looking 720P on X1, and wasn't patched to support X1X. :(
I would consider it for pc at this price, you would have to love the original game as most people do. Not sure about the online community, if you want it for multiplayer, you may want to spend the $15 on the 2019 conmw as it is very good as well. IMO COD2019 is the best cod since BLOPS1.

MW Remastered does not come for free with Infinite Warfare, but it is available as part of a special "legacy" edition that contains both games. You always have to pay a bit more for this, e.g.

It is a remastered version of the 2007 release Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Kind of a prequel to 2019 modern warfare but is the same exact game as the 2007 release just with remastered graphics. Good for PS4 Pro users.
Not that anyone cares, but this is my personal favourite.
