  • OP, do you let it come to room temp before you put it in the oven? I always use disposable foil trays when I freeze Shepard's pie.

    • Nah, I take it out in the morning and leave it in the fridge, then chuck it in the oven when I get home in the arvo. I guess it's still a bit frozen, but not as much?

      • Thanks :) Might have to get one to try. I'm making Shepard's pie today.

usually cheaper at big w If they still sell em…

  • Can the silicone lid be used during baking?

    • +1

The lid is not silicone, the seal is.

    • The lid is not oven safe.

  • Don't they sell the big 3 Litre Thermoglass model anymore? Can't find it on the website.

Never liked the Thermostone range much, the quality of the ceramic seemed pretty ordinary and you have to take the lid off to see what's inside.

Most of the Match-Ups Glass range is half price too, not that they have much of a range.

  • Pyrex, PYREX, Thermoglass, Thermostone. Oh dear, we've come a long way since the days of my granny https://i.pinimg.com/originals/03/90/08/039008a78b4540861ff6…
