Is there any XMASTREAT for loyal and existing customers?

    • +1

Have been with them since they first came to Australia with the original $60pm unlimited 100/40 deal. No loyalty for long term customers. They just jack up the price and blame the NBNCo cost structure.

      • Join when start as well, Play 59.99 for game pro plan 100/40,
how ever they want to jack up price long time ago, with email and sms notice
I never press agree or do any thing
Still pay 59.99 a month right now.
However their internet speed is a joke. download speed maybe around 5-7mb upload 15-20mb

Signed up with Myrepublic when they first launched. Great experience while connected with them, however, I've had the worst experience after disconnecting from them. Don't sign up with myrepublic if you intend to disconnect from them.

Shortly after disconnecting with them, MyRepublic sent an email saying that they had made a billing mistake and I owed them another month of internet service. They said that they would charge my CC on XX date.

… A couple of years go by and I receive a debt collection notice?? Apparently Myrepublic didn't charge my CC. The funds were available for Myrepublic to take for all those years.

No email from Myrepublic saying that they couldn't charge my CC, just a debt collection notice. Myrepublic made the billing mistake not me, so it's their problem to follow up with me…

When they first arrived i joined them too, then had an awful experience trying to leave. I never got a debt collection notice, but it took ages to disconnect and i was charged even after disconnecting, took ages to get resolved.

    • I signed up with them when they first opened. It was $60pm for unlimited 100/40 and I thought it was a sweet deal. it was mediocre at best, peak times (Sydney) were awful. I had awful pings and dropouts while playing games. The worst bit was that I didn't check the monthly billing as it was in my wife's name and it turns out she never checked that they had kicked us down to 50/20 and charged us $70pm. I eventually cancelled (instead of porting to a new provider) because the new place wasn't NBN ready. Turns out it was a good thing as I would have experienced what you did. Sorry to hear that!

  • 83Mbps Typical Evening Speed

On 100/40 that's pretty average. FWIW ABB claim 86Mbps

Just some food for thought- I'd highly recommend NOT signing up on a 12 month contract no matter the ISP. You dont know how good your connection will be before signing up. If its crap you'll have tough it out for a year or pay a fee for breaking the contract. Not worth the trouble. Look for ISPs that offer monthly contracts so you can switch after a month if you need to rather than a year. A lot of people have trouble finding a good ISP, no reason to make it harder by being locked in a 12 month contract.

Was with MyRepublic for a couple years. When it works it's great but you don't want to deal with their support team. Each and everytime I've called, I've been on hold from anywhere 30min-60min. It was a cheap service, so I baked that in (was paying $59.99 for 100/40 + static IP and "gamer"). When the prices went up, I was gone! I only realise how bad their customer service was when I moved to ABB and had an NBN comparison.

    • Same experience here, their customer service is rude. There is a problem with their payment system at the moment, this may result in a late payment fee even though you have set up an auto-debit.

But it's $15 more than it should be every month!

No matter what incentives they are offering their product and service is so poor that I'm gonna downvote this.

  • This reminds me I signed up for a contract a year ago. Surprised they haven't at least contacted me to renew. Guess they just assume I will.

  • I signed up on the original $60 plan. They then increased the price. Pings were 70ms. When I left, I had to keep chasing because they kept invoicing.

This deal is not very good value, I think.

  • Long ping time on Gamers plan. Ended up getting off the plan. Soon to another provider

  • One of the worst providers i have ever used. Their aftersales service is shocking. Their billing is a shambles and sent me to debt collector for $50 i never ever owed. Their speed sucks too. Subscribe at your peril.

  • Im waiting for NBN deal to port out of Mypublic… anyone?
