This is an excellent beginners turntable.
Built in pre-amp so can be plugged directly into speakers
Fully automatic
Same basic construction as Audio-Technica PL60 but has strobe tracking adjustment.
There are some disadvantages such as non upgrade-able cartridge and set tracking force (3.5g) but at this price it sounds good for someone with old vinyl that just wants to get back into old school.
Audiophiles - this is not for you
A built in pre-amp does not mean it can be "plugged directly into speakers" as you claim. It means that it can be plugged into an amp that does not have a specific phono (pre) stage, which is the case for many smaller sound systems and even some more formal full-size amps these days.
To be clear: you will absolutely still need an amplifier to plug this turntable into, it just doesn't need a "phono" input, you can plug this turntable into the same input as any "aux" type device.
