Hi, would anyone be able to give me an opinion as im after a new phone. Thinking of getting either A50 or LG V30+?
Id like to take random photos for my basketball comp. Please advise thanks

The V30+ is a two+ year old phone.
While it may have once been a flagship you're basically buying a phone with no further OS updates and past it's mandatory 2 years of security updates. So really no ongoing support.
Personally I'd go a recent 'budget' phone over a phone that old. Especially if I was planning to keep it longer than 12 months.
Maybe look at the Samsung A70 (currently on special at JB) or the Mi 9T or 9T Pro or similar. They might be slightly more expensive but will last the next 24 months at least
I don't get this security update and OS updates that people are concerned about?
Fair enough if i was paying $1500, but $400 or less.
A50 and A70 have issues with GPS. Taking long time to work. Otherwise fine for phone calls or browsing.
My A70 doesn't seem to have issues with GPS.
V30+, no question.
It falls down on two things, the selfie camera, and updates past Pie. Neither of which really matter to most people.
