Need Home Theatre System with Blue ray player.

Hi Guys,

i want to buy a Home theatre system and my budget is upto 1000$. i am looking for following features
- stylish,
- tall speakers with wireless rear speakers.
- Front panel USB Digital Connection for iphone, ipod
- wifi
- good sound with high bass
- player supporting most of the formats (audio as well video)
- Analogue and HDMI video upscaling to full HD
- Media player support
- 1080p-compatible HDMI (4 in/1 out)

please suggest me which brand i should go for… i am looking at sony, samsung, LG and yamaha one's. i knew yamaha will be best among others but i could not find them in tall size and stylish look.

    Hi Tejsidhu,
    unfortunately the Yamaha is a bit restricted as they do not package their Home Theatres with Bluray. You would need to purchase seperately which will likely blow out your budget.

    Samsung make some very good ones. The HT-D6750 is a fantastic system, among the best selling this year so far. We can do a special price for you of $675 (normally it's $749).

      Hi tejsidhu, who are HV(I'm in SA and don't know what this stands for) and what was the individual price for the HT-6750W that you negotiated (or vague $ range if not individually priced in the package)?

        HV stands for harvey Norman… Individual price for 6780W alone is i think $690 but since i made a package deal thats how i got it cheap.

        Try at least 2-3 stores in your area and bargain them.. each one has their own prices…

    Any updates on prices in stores in SA for the Samsung D6750? I can't find them in the websites of HN, JB or GoodGuys.

      benjiross -there was an issue stocking them, but they are meant to be in by now. I have yet to check if they came in or not. Let us know if you pick one up and what you paid. I should be resumikng my hunt for a Samsung D6750 in the next few weeks. Radio Rentals with $670 was the best deal from before but that was with no stock anywhere. Will have to check back online too.

        I saw one in The GoodGuys but the best offer from them was around 800$.
        The RR offer above is very good.
        I got mine for around 600$ online.
