Not Australian product. They might not be real barramundi. Be careful.

        1. The discount is only 17%, so not half price.
          And
        2. It’s frozen seafood ex SEA

Does this taste like Agent Orange to you?

  • +6

Go pay a visit to the beautiful waterways of south east Asia and you’ll soon gladly pay the extra for Australian seafood…

Vietnam farmed fish that may be Barra or maybe not…no thanks…just discovered that my scallops I had for dinner were from China. I have to remember to read the labels.

    • How did they taste?

If people knew where these r farmed and the water used steak clear

    • steak & chips yum!

      • Feel free to ingest them then

  • Hopefully everyone on here is asking their local restaurant or fish and chip shop where the fish being served is sourced from, around 70-75% of fish sold here is imported.

If you prefer with skin on, ALDI's normal price for frozen barramundi is around $16 for 1kg

    • It also comes from Vietnam.
Breaks apart when turning it over in a frypan. Probably better to oven cook or deep fry.

Tastes alright though, and looks the same as the Barra I've had from local chippies (who must be using Vietnamese sourced fish as well).

Not me, anything come from Vietnam I cut that off. Worried about the agent orange. Saw the documentary a while ago. People living there still have problems and babies born without arms, legs, disfigured. Sorry for them.

    • Yet I got voted down… weird…

  • i don't trust vietnam
