Hi,
I'm looking to buy a good Chianti for my friend as a gift but have no idea.
Could you please recommend a good one at about $100?
Thanks.

Did you check out one of the large retailers, such as Dan Murphys?
Most Chiantis are much lower priced than that, so choose one of the more expensive bottles.
Or a few of the raffia-wrapped bottles; they make good candle holders.
yes I did, as it's a thank you gift I'd like to buy something more premiums
Yes, you definitely need more than one premium.
Dan Murphys, or if you tell us where you live, we could recommend a good specialist wine shop near you. Simples.
A friend of mine studied wine in italy for a couple of years - his tip with italian wine was the more basic/generic the label the better the wine

$100 is a lot of money for Chianti
Don't forget the fava beans to go along with your friend.
