Nice idea and a great chance for people to see one of Melbourne's best restaurants without walking away having spent a week's pay.

I probably won't drop in even though i work in the area, purely because i imagine the queues will be akin to those at the B&J $1 deal a few weeks back.
Us Melburnians do like our bargains.

    • think it will depend on what they offer, it is a high end restaurant, but they havent guaranteed high end food. Could be just porridge/cereal?

Not worth getting out of bed at that hour for, sorry.

Really? I've read good reviews on the restaurant, would be more than happy to go early for it!

      • I wouldn't get up early for $20, so not going to do it for a free brekkie.

  • "City workers, students and passersby are invited" so us street bums who camp out the front aren't welcome??? how rude!

Awesome, something to dull the pain of my 9am lecture at uni on Tuesday :D

I hate this dairy marketing. As though calcium is really something the average person isn't getting enough of, it is something that will improve our day to day lives, and that dairy foods are the best way to get calcium. It's just like so many nutrient crazes except particularly bad because most of these products marketed as being super full of calcium are also super fattening.
    Good deal though.

  • …They should put one in SYDNEY… and every other aus city… lol

  • Anyone go… ?
    Moo

  • They're also giving away wheels of Jindi Brie to those who get there early.

    • They're giving away the hubcaps from the car of some bogan chick?

  • Moving to Melbourne in two weeks! So happy to find this site! Free is great!!

  • Got a hot chocolate (yum, had coconut) 200ml yoghourt drink and a ham & cheese toasted sandwich (greasy, fatty but tasty). Might be a serve of calcium in that breakfast but it was choc full of saturated fat according to the Heart Foundation! ;-) Not worth going out of your way/getting up early for but something different if close.
