Its a good deal on the camera, but you are better off buying the dashcam and a 64GB card separately - comes to about $80.49
I've just fitted one of these and can recommend it. You'll also need to buy the hardwire kit if you want to wire it into the fuse box - I got the package for $87 on eBay without an SD card. Also a 64GB card seems unnecessary because it supports loop recording, where it will overwrite old recordings with new ones. 32GB is plenty.
It's useful if you intend to use parking mode as you need enough storage for it to actually be any benefit and not overwrite too quickly.
But you are right for a regular non-parking mode use case, especially since with this cam it is so easy to retrieve footage via phone if you happen to have an incident when out and about and forgot to press the emergency save button.
Looks decent (turn 1080p mode in YouTube Settings) - https://youtu.be/hASZMkk-gjU
I've had mine for 6 months and am really happy with the video it takes, and downloading to your phone etc. Only issue I've found is that once you download a video to your phone, you cannot share it via text, email, facebook, twitter etc or iMessage on iPhone.
Full details here that never got resolved https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threads/cannot-send-videos-via…A CPL filter is also available now to fit this model, which can add to the overall picture quality.
FYI. From Blue Sky Sea site
Uses super capacitor instead of battery, which is a better choice to run dash cam in hot environments (batteries tend to swell / expand in the heat)
Recommended sd card to go with it ?
endurance or ultraI heard not Ultra. EVO+ was supposed to be fine, but my 128GB EVO Plus always got the "low speed SD card" error after a few days use, have to reformat it every now and then, not sure why. Also heard 64GB EVO plus works better than some batch of 128GB, didn't test it myself.
My Evo plus is also having issues with slow speed error, powering off and on makes it go away but comes back randomly couple times a week
IIRC, 64GB is the max that’s supported.
Sandisk High Endurance 64gb

Black Friday is coming…
The 32GB bundle still worth getting? Slightly cheaper than the cam on its own with a free SD card (admittedly only a few dollars value). Anyone know what kind it is?
This or Viofo 119?
Viofo A119 is better in most aspects, unless you prefer the more discrete form factor of B1W or need the wifi connectivity.
However those start at ~$90 for the cam by itself on sale, value wise it's hard to beat B1W but A119 would be a close second.
Does it need to be hardwired? If yes, Is there a manual or guide I can follow for DIY
Thanks!No. Plug into ciggy outlet.
Cool, then what is the advantage of hardwired? Does G sensor work if plugged into cigarette socket
It will keep on recording when the engine is turn off
@Digitalco: You DON'T want it to record when the engine is off unless you've specifically wired it for parking mode. Otherwise you will return to a flat car battery, which also damages it long term. Also the B1W only has a pretty basic parking mode (G-sensor based shock only), so if you actually wanted to use parking mode I'd recommend something like A129 instead.
The benefit of hard wiring dashcams is to free up the cig lighter socket and reduce visible cables in the cabin (for aesthetics and to reduce disconnect / trip risk). Actual dash cam operation is no different.
@Soothsayer: Yeah i was i meant to say that
Easily the best dashcam under $100. Great video quality, discrete, reliable and decent app. If you don't want to hardwire, just plug it into a Xiaomi powerbank when you are parked.
cam only price was changed to $79.99 from 63.99 atm?
Now back to $79.99
they un-bargained the bargain.
Does anyone else find that the Android app crashes often?
Contact the seller for V1.8.9 beta APP if you have an Android 9.0 phone!
Will do Thanks heaps
What are these like compared to a Viofo?
