Doesn't look like they are even close to being put out.
No rain up here (SEQ), down to our last 7 cows ATM, very sad all 'round. The guys out west are de-stocking drastically as well and it will take years after the drought breaks to rebuild numbers.

Lost two magnificent gum trees from wet ground and strong winds. Probably a combined age of three centuries.
Simultaneous natural disasters were predicted decades ago. It's going to happen with increasing frequency and destruction.
And when it doesn't happen next year, I'm sure that it would also be predicted and part of the whole green house effect lag.

This is the result of greenhouse gas emissions up until the 1980's because there is a 30 year lag between emissions and the greenhouse effect.
Greenhouse gas emissions spiralled way higher after the 1980s.
And then ten years ago the feedback loops kicked in: northern hemisphere tundras started melting releasing methane to join the massive methane release caused by fracking. No ice at either pole is predicted by 2024, not long now. And the ocean has almost reached it's capacity for removing CO2 from the atmosphere.
We're yet to face the consequences of greenhouse gas emissions since the 1980s.
The country is being led by a religious idiot who claims that this is a hoax even though all the predictions are coming true so he's determined to fight the fires while doing nothing about climate change.
