As the title states, free delivery within Aus for T2 orders online when using "Chaddy" coupon code.

Came across this at their Chadstone store, which is currently under refurbishment. I guess it will end when the store reopens.

  • I wish I liked tea, but I don't. Is "real" tea that different to the cheap lipton stuff that comes in packets at the supermarket? Because I hate the taste of the regular lipton stuff and their green tea is bearable but not something I would drink for pleasure. Maybe an acquired taste…

    • Teabags = old tea leaves shredded up.

Good quality loose tea = young buds.

    • "Real" tea is much better than the cheap lipton stuff teabags.
Also make sure not to brew it for too long, because that's where the bitterness comes from.

    • you should try 'real' tea, it taste different and nicer

    • Depends how you drink it. I'm accustomed to drinking it black, very strong and quite sweet. I find Milk neutralises a lot of the aromas in tea and makes a lot of teas taste quite similar. When you drink tea black you can really tell the difference in the aroma. Of the commercial supermarket tea bag teas I find Dilmah the tastiest, and for some reason their "teapot bags" (the square ones without the strings) are better.. maybe they're just stronger.. not sure.

But yeah if you want to ever try some real tea go in to a specialty tea shop like T2 or Lupicia or an independent one.. have a sniff of a few different leaves or try tasting a few.. they should be happy to brew you a few samples. I'd keep away from any of the artificial fruit flavoured ones. Stick to whole leaf black teas and green teas (if you're into green tea).

Also may be worth giving this a read so you know what the acronyms mean: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_pekoe#Whole_leaf_grades

  • Does T2 only deal with fair trade teas?

    • who cares?

  • +1

I like T2 tea, but it's not as potent as some of the other specialist tea stores.

It's always worth a stop by the shops to try their teas of the day (chilled and hot).

  • +1

T2 teas in general are way overpriced.

    • as opposed to what? lipton tea? LOL! T2 is a premium brand of tea and is priced accordingly… and in line with other similar brands.
