Lowest price I've seen.
Tempted to buy although wondering if it's worth it as I do have a very good air con unit……

Don't own the fan but I remember this article comparing it to the Kmart fan. Good read
It's a fan, not an aircon unit. All it does in cool mode is blows air.
I have the purifying version and find it pretty noisy - I sleep with it on speed 2 (out of 10) and it's noticeable without blowing that much air. In addition, because it has a temperature and air quality sensors (this one might not) that operate even when the fan is off, it is always spinning a bit when plugged in and making noise. Would not recommend.
As a heater, they're pretty great at warming up a room quickly.
Don't own or know much about that particular model, but if I'd be ready to part with that much money for an "upgraded" fan, I'd go for the air purifier version of it
are these still noisy as hell as the older models?
I have the air purifier version. No, it doesn't cool, it's just a fan, but it does make you feel cooler by blowing air on you.
The purifier version is ok, but I also have a Daikin purifier which blows rings around it (pun intended), but does not heat. With the Sydney bush fires, the Daikin will get rid of the smell in a bedroom in 15 minutes but the Dyson takes a couple of hours (and is designed to be left on.
This fan version is not worth it as a fan, but probably ok as a heater, especially with kids and little fingers …
Good price, for a meh product, but great brand :p
I have the non-heating version of the Dyson Bladeless Fan and it certainly is not value for money.
Stay away from this overpriced item as you would find better value getting separate heating/cooling solutions.
The issues I have with the Dyson Bladeless Fans:
1) Weak airflow (even on high) requires you to have the unit blowing at you
2) Noise levels on high would be considered noisy
3) Does a poor job of circulating/pushing air in a medium sized room (eg. Lounge Room)
4) Takes hours before air purifier cleans the air (when compared to a dedicated air purifier).
I would only recommend this item if you have young kids and need the bladeless function and will constantly switch between heating and cooling.
Otherwise, stick with a cheaper Kogan DC Pedestal Fan if you want a decent all round cooling fan.
certainly not the lowest it has been though
I wonder are they energy saver?
Hey all,
Does anyone own this unit, and can they share if it actually does a good job cooling a room down.
From my understanding it's just a fan?
Thanks in advance =)
