Price isnt out of the realm of unrealistic, its a 3yr old drone. Stock levels OTOH are doubtful.
Even though it is not in my hands yet, the fact it has gone from requiring manual approval to order confirmed is something. If they cancel order now I can kick up a stink due to it being manually approved.

I ordered this morning around 7. After few hiurs they honoured the order 10.20. Delivery Dec 10.
They haven't honored anything until you get a tracking number
There was an initial email 40 min later saying that they have to manually check the order and honour it. Then after 3 hours they sent an order confirmation. What is that mean?
I ordered yesterday afternoon.
The tracking says "Estimated collection on Tuesday, 26th of November, 2019"
The email says "Est. Tuesday, December 10, 2019"
WTF???
I ordered 3pm yesterday and have the same discrepancy, it take the live website's estimates at https://www.officeworks.com.au/information/track-your-order?… as the more up-to-date.

@Dex38313: No, they won't. With eBay fee's, PayPal fee's and the inevitable massive oversupply of stock will plummet the price.
I think if you bought one to sell you should be cancelling your order. At best you will break even and waste your time.

The software won't limit your flying. You can fly these anywhere you want, but obviously will be fined it caught in a no-fly zone.
Nope. I am in one because of Westmead Hospital and I can fly my mini without issues. I used to have a pro too and also no issues flying it.

Confirmation email means nothing - only "They have your order". They have cancelled orders in the past after a few days by simply stating no more stock/unavailable
Though having an order manually approved should really rule out stock issues as a reason.

If this is an error (as some have experienced in the past), why does it take OW several days to alert customers (all the while they have your money). Isn't this something that could be sorted in a matter of minutes once the error was recognised (as it obviously has been)?
I'm guessing because crises take time and impact assessments and drawing up options takes time too?
Just spoke to Officeworks HQ. Regarding my order for Victoria, confirmed price. Stock is in warehouse today and dispatch for tomorrow or Wednesday is looking likely. End of the week worst case. Shocked TBH. Great price, cheapest price is Kogan for a refurb at $899. Lets wait till I have it in my hand before celebrating…

It is, but the main worry I had is that it would perpetually stay that way as they would never restock. The fact that the rep confirmed stock arriving at their warehouse today has me hopeful.

Called up again after reading the comments. So apparently their Warehouse in Victoria indicates 4 on their SAP system, but the physical stock on hand is 0. Bummer. The girl called the warehouse to confirm. They are still honouring the price, but timeline could be 2 weeks or longer (if ever). Who knows, maybe we will get a Christmas Miracle ;).

Yep mines backorder as well. I ordered late though at about 7am this morning. I saw the deal yesterday afternoon but didn't pull the trigger because I honestly thought it would never have been honoured. But here I am. My only hope is that if the order is eventually cancelled, we don't have to wait weeks for the refund. Also odd thing is that despite saying 'backorder' on the online 'track your order' page on their website, it still says 'estimated collection on Tuesday 26th of November 2019'so who knows.
I ordered about 20 mins after the deal went live. Tracking says Backorder with a pick up date of 4th Dec. Don't think there's any method to the madness.
Order confirmed and due for delivery 26 Nov (tomorrow) - ordered last night.. Interesting if it really happens.
