How to get @ Kmart for $28?
Kmart have a policy of beating competitors prices by 10% of the difference. So if Kmart has them for $50, and Big W $30, the difference is $20. 10% of the $20 is $2, so 30-2=$28.
I'm using an US account and http://www.itunesgc.net/ to recharge the credit under the account. You can buy US gift vouchers at USD0.60 per dollar (eg, $5.99 for a $10 voucher), effectively reducing the cost to A$0.65 per song.
Using the Australian gift cards give you $30/(50/1.69)= A$1.01 per song.
So you save 40% more with an US account.
Plus, you don't have to go to the shops to physically purchase your vouchers. Win-win situation for me.
I'm not supporting the yanks. My money stays in OZ. Win-win for me. Am happy to pay $30 for $50 card.
Wait a minute. Are we talking about charge card for Steve "The Yankie" Jobs' iTunes Music Store here?
Seems to be recurring thing at Big W:
http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/4744 — same deal posted 2 weeks ago (although different catalogue). I guess iTunes Music Store is really a rip off in Australia when you factor in the ever raising AUD. So instead of dropping price, iTMS is making those "deals"…
