I tried it in Malaysia, it was brilliant
not comfortable putting my full credit card number on a random website tbh

But.. you need to do that on many websites unless they accept PayPal/bank transfer….? Guess the keyword is "random".
Worked fine for me, comes in handy especially on certain flights. Flew SIA - Singapore to Paris and Milan to Singapore and was able to use free unlimited wifi on both flights.

it was handy as some places overseas, but it was easier to use free wifgi (with vpn client) at most places.
I had a flight with Etihad from Sydney to Singapore to Delhi. Free WiFi on the plane was fantastic. Worked great
useless most of the time because you need a network to download local spots map if you didn't do it in advance. when you try to download even when you have local wifi, update always stuck at 9% or 18%, never completed.
Last trips with no result from Boingo - Prague, Tokyo airport and Narita town. Was the same in Malaysia and Sri Lanka before.just double checked and looks like some permissions were removed with the Os update.. will try it next time
Tried this a bit when travelling, basically didn't work at all on any hotspot I tried.
