Does the T-Mobile AC1900 from Amazon allow USB tethering?

I'm still using a 3G $2 days Optus Sim for my home internet. Currently tethering through an older Asus router.

Unfortunately the router is dying or its struggling to keep up with all the wifi lightbulbs and wall plugs I have added.

I have read it has become harder to flash these T Mobile devices recently but I'm wondering if I can't flash it, is the tethering feature is included with the stock firmware?

    Just logged into mine which is still running the T Mobile FW.

    Has this:

    3G/4G
    Switch to USB mode to use a 3G/4G USB wireless dongle or Android phone as a USB modem. Support
