  • How do they review.

I’ve got the QC25 but they’re wired. Haven’t stepped up to Bluetooth yet

    • I've got these for my QC25's: https://www.amazon.com.au/Wireless-Bluetooth-Adapter-QuietCo…

They've worked perfectly and have saved me $$$ since I didn't have to fork out for the QC35's. Had my QC25's for 4 years now and they still perform perfectly, no need to upgrade :)

      • And best thing is when new Bluetooth version released just buy a new adapter

    • Haven't heard of the QC25, but it seems as if these would be a step up from whatever wired headphones you have.
Next level up would be the Bose QC35s, but those hover around more than 3 times the price of these (approx $350)

are you implying that these QC15's are bluetooth or 'wireless'? just checking because they aren't.

i have a pair of these, got them as a gift from Qantas years ago. i bought the wife QC25's. the main difference between the two is that the QC25's can work as normal headphones without the noise cancelling activated, meanwhile the QC15's only work with noise cancelling on (no sound otherwise)

let me know if you have any questions about them.

        • The QC15s haven't been around for around 7+ years. They were replaced by the QC25s which had better Noise cancelling. They were replaced by the QC35s (see a pattern? :)) which were wireless, better sound and rechargable battery.

Cosidering the age and the refurbished status (it wouldn't be Bose refurbished by the way) I'd question the authenticity.

If you've ever been to markets in Asia you'll know how prolific the fakes are.

          • @dizzle: I wrote that before looking at the page. Have a look at the close-up picture of the headband. It's common in the fakes that the Headband cushion is not flush to the "clips" that hold them in place.

            So this increases my suspicions.

QC15 are the previous generation to the QC25, so you would be going backwards if you got these.
      The order for the Bose noise cancelling headphones are;

      QC15 > QC25 > QC35* > Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 (yes, this is what it's called)

From various commentary I've read, each version has better noise cancelling abilities than the last.

*QC35 have three subversions; i, ii, iii (I have no idea why).

      • Oh, sorry about that.
What were the 3rd subversion of the 35s?

        • My mistake, looks like there's series 1 and series 2.
Series 2 has a google assistant button.

@S2: Series II gave you the in built virtual assistant. There was a kind of update to the series II that you could only tell from the barcode (no official update to name but it was a hardware change). This put in hardware to allow Bose AR - Motion sensors that can work with certain apps.

Lost my QC15s and replaced them with 25s. The 15s were better.

      • better in which ways?

        • they are not really, I have both qc15 and qc25 plays music a bit better and cancels noise from talking people slightly better and no difference when comparing cancelling noise from an aircraft.

        • 15s sound better. In my opinion.

  • These are like 8 years plus I know as I still have a set

  • This was my first pair of bose noise-cancelling headphones, excellent sound and noise cancellation. I've owned every iteration of over the ear Bose NC cans since.

A great option for someone who doesn't mind being wired.

  • Are these used?

    • Refurbished so yes.

        Owned by will.i.am?

I have both qc15 and qc25. Qc25 is only marginally better in noise cancelling and longer battery life. I usually just leave the qc15 in office and put it on mainly to make a gesture to those inconsiderate colleagues.

A definite plus is they both use AAA batteries which can be changed easily

  • Round on ear or over cups on the QC15's?

Also reviews seem to suggest some white noise/ hissing with the NC that isn't apparent on the QC25 onwards?

    • over cups

    • We’ve got a couple of these and don’t have the hissing problem.

  • Has anyone got the Bose QC15 mic working on a PS4?

  • Not a great price for tech that is 10 years old (Aug 2009). Also when I looked exactly a year ago, the refurbished QC15s were $119.

  • swetay cups
