  • Less than 20% discount. $45 seems expensive for high tea.

    • .

    • Given their "$25 to use on any lime&tonic" promo on here recently, expect any L&T offers posted to be significantly higher priced than other group buy sites, and/or be for intrinsically overpriced crap like "high tea".

      • Hi quickling and FerretallicA
        Thanks for your feedback.

Prob good to keep in mind that this is at a 5-star hotel. We have received feedback from many of our members that the quality is really up there. Which is always good to hear :) The high tea has been really popular on our Top 50 Guide, afterall high teas are really on trend at the moment! We realise the 5-star high tea is not for everyone, but given its popularity we decided to share it here for those that are interested.

Our $25 offer was simply an introductory offer for those that had not heard of us before. We wanted to give people the chance to try us out in good faith that they would enjoy the offers and remain happy L&T members.

We are not a 'group-buying' site like tonnes our there. We are primarily a Top 50 Guide and also post offers on the Top 50. Generally any offers we post have been instigated by member recommendations and tips.

Our members do not complain about 'only' getting 20% discount as they can appreciate the quality and value in our offers. Our weekly featured deals are generally at 50% off with a limited number and are then placed on the Top 50 Guide. For those that are after 80% off teeth whitening and the like, maybe one of the big group buying sites is better suited. We are all about quality, not about being 'cheap'!

Our site is aimed at the higher end of the market, and as I have mentioned before on OzBargains, we offer a guide of premium things to do in Sydney. We only use premium upmarket venues and do not associate ourselves with 'run of the mill' venues and restaurants.

For those that can appreciate what we offer, enjoy!! :)

  • My wife went to high tea at the QVB somewhere and that cost $40pp so $45pp doesn't seem too far out of the ball park. Ultimately depends on the quality I guess

    • Hi

Thanks for your feedback. I have heard some good things about the QVB high tea. I hope your wife enjoyed it. I would anticipate the price difference coming down to quality too especially given the full price of Swissotel's high tea :)

  • +1

Rep, you might want to put CBD in the title and save people the time searching. Bit out of my spending league though so no comment from me.

    • Thanks for your feedback. Advice taken! :)
