To all my foodie OzB friends,
I was wondering if anyone can kindly suggest a good olive oil and vinegar to dip bread in? (brands would be much appreciated)
Thanks :)

A good quality balsamic is fantastic for anything …. even drizzled over ice cream.
Meant to work well with strawberries as well.
Olive oil is very similar to wines in that individuals will have different preferences. Try a few at a market and find one you like.
Same for balsamic.
And the same for dukkah.
And for bread.
And the little bowl you dip it in.
Much like seafood olive oil is rife with cheaper products claiming to be more expensive ones.
I'm guilty occasionally consuming so much bread, balsamic, olive oil and dukkah that it turns into dinner. It's so good.
Pretty much any cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil
Once you try a few, you'll find a favourite
Cobram robust EVOO.
Coles balsamic vinegar.
Question is a bit like, what’s a good beer or wine?
Everyone will give you a different answer depending on taste.
https://www.pukaraestate.com.au/ These guys make good stuff and you can get it at lots of shops like Harris farm etc.
Good balsamic normally comes from Modena, Italy
Aged balsamic gets $$$ but like wine is fairly subjective.
That Pukara Estate olive oil is $30.50 for 500ml, so only good for the top 1%.
Top 1% of what? you don’t fry chicko rolls in the stuff.
The point I was trying to make (unsuccessfully) is like beer and wine, it’s subjective. And everyone has an opinion and price point.
Here is some for the bottom 99%

oooh Pukaraestate sounds great. Thanks for the tip :)
why do you want to dip bread with oil or vinegar? I dip them in tea.
I assume because it's tasty and s/he enjoys it?
Good flavour and nice start to a dinner :)
I've never tried tea before, sounds interesting.
the oils and vinegar is important, but the bread is also just as important. kinda depends on the bread
A Nice aged balsalmic with a garlic infused olive oil and sprinkle on some salt flakes
most people have them separated but I like to have mine together in the same dipping saucer
