Sigma 16mm F1.4 Sony E Mount - Buy Now or Wait for Black Friday?

Hi everyone,

I'm struggling on whether I should purchase the Sigma 16mm F1.4 Sony E Mount lens now or later.

The best deal I can currently find is from Georges Cameras, with the Amex offer which goes down to $539.

But I've seen offers posted on here and it had gone down to $460 before.

Do camera lens usually go on sale during Black Friday promo?

  Buy it. I pulled the trigger yesterday to buy the sony 24m GM at digidirect. The best lens ever.

  I'm waiting.. but have been for a while. Got eBay gift cards I got for 10% off so hoping to use them. Been considering getting the 30 or 56 instead if there's no good deals on the 16.

    I own the 30mm and it is a really good lens, I think you can get it on DCXpert eBay for under $400 right now.

      Yep. $367.20 using PLOTS20, quite tempting. $479.20 for the 56.

  Honestly just wait unless you really need the 16mm right now, I'm in the same situation but it's currently out of stock on DCXpert Ebay for $569 before 20% code + i have ebay gift cards. i also messaged them they said hopefully more stocks arriving this or next week

    Yea they seem to have limited stock on these, sigma website have them on backorder. I'm trying to get these before I leave for holiday so hopefully there's a good deal by then.

  DigiDirect sale bring the 16 down to $550. Not low enough for me to jump.
  No cashback and can't use my eBay gift cards.
  The wait continues.

    get the lens on DCXpert eBay when there is the promotion. The delivery is ok and fast for me.

  Ok. eBay sale on tomorrow, includes dcxpert and they have the 16 in stock… Will they raise the price… Time will tell

    Anything below $500 is good imo, since they haven't been in stock and dropped the price much in the past 6 months.
