eBay Promo Codes for ‘Offer Accepted’ Checkout?

I’ve placed a successful offer for a 2nd hand item on eBay and have a ‘Pay Now’ option to go through (checkout process from here looks identical to when you buy any other product at a fixed price). None of the eBay voucher codes listed here work though. I have a couple of days before I need to pay, has anyone ever been successful in applying a voucher or promo code to a won ‘best offer’ type listing?

    Might be just the item is not eligible for any coupons.
    I'm pretty sure accepted best offers still allow coupons if the item is eligible.

      Thanks. I wonder if the date of the purchase is leading or the day of payment when applying a coupon. If it’s the latter, keen to wait for any site-wide or category promotions this coming week (leading up to Black Friday).
