1/2 Price - Cancer Council Sunscreen @ Target

400

1/2 Price for all Cancer Council's Sunscreen at Target, including their Face Moisturiser Matt range ($6.5 at Target) which is now $10.39 at Chemist Warehouse

Highly recommend the Face Moisturiser Matt range, works wonder under foundation.

However, the Face Moisturiser Matte Invisible & the Water-resistant one only available at Coles, while Target stock the tinted one and the bb cream range.

As @evgpek stated, Coles have them on 1/2 price as well.

But some of them are still cheaper at Target:

Kid 500ml $13.5 @ Coles $11 @ Target

Active 200ml $8.23 @ Coles $7.5 @ Target

Ultra Roll on $5.25 @ Coles $4 @ Target

Friendly reminder, remember to check the expiry date, though most of my purchases are either OCT/NOV 2021 or FEB/JUL/OCT 2022

  • Is the 1L tub at chemist warehouse still cheaper?

    • +1

Not really, as if you buy 2
X500ml at half price is much cheaper (30+ comes to $17 a litre and the kids 50+ $22)

      • Price beat these at CW (5% of difference) if possible, any of the same products

Are there any regulations on which brand is approved spf50+.

Also half price at Coles right now!

The best stuff is from Aldi. They often sell the 1 litre for $8 or something. Everyday the 500ml is something like $6.50.

Best thing about it is that is dries non oily, most of the other stuff leaves you oily and greasy all day.

yeah think I will pay a little more and not burn to a crisp…

      • Well I can state 100% it does not feel like acid at all.

As for its effectiveness, they say the same about BananaBoat and others. You seriously can't apply sunscreen then go in the summer midday sun in Australia for any extended period of time.

    • I tried the cancer council stuff and it was really sticky and hard to rub in. The aldi stuff I agree isn't sticky. I'd buy aldi over cancer council any day.

      • After all those 1 star reviews? Decent sunblock can a pain to spread because it's designed to stay on your skin even during sweat and water contact. I'd be more concerned by one that's really easy apply.

Actually, typical sunscreen is supposed to be absorbed.

It protects the cells from the inside, it's not a physical barrier on top of the skin.

This also why they say not to go swimming soon after application, as it can wash off before the skin has a chance to absorb.

You are thinking of zinc, which is applied as a physical barrier.

  • If you have AHM health fund you should be able to claim it back for free too, so more to spend on other deductibles.

    • HI do you mind to elaborate on how to claim it back for free, as i have AHM health fund thanks

You need extras cover but we have found it pretty good to claim sunscreen, sunnies, hats from Cancer Council- https://help.ahm.com.au/hc/en-us/articles/360001097216-Usefu…

        • I have basic extras but dont have this option (Black 50). Only the certain tiers allow it I believe.

thanks for the information, i'm on a extreamly old AHM plan that got renamed to Lite 60 Basic, which means i am not eligible for these benefits.

The kids stuff is the best sunscreen I've tried. Non oily and doesn't irritate my skin like most sunscreen.

  • If you apply this sort of thing properly, does it make a hat unnecessary?
Also, is it needed when sitting next to (closed) window with full sun on your face at work?
