For an "up to x% off" sale, you must include at least one example bargain in the title or description. Otherwise the post will be removed. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:deal_posting_guidelin…
Apologies. I missed that- will note for next time. First sale post for me.
Meh to the fridge, only $250 cheaper than elsewhere from a quick Google.
Be careful with fridges. They have huge markups.
You can get a good French door fridge for $1100-$1300. This also isn't Hisense or any crap like that which is destined for a return in 6 months.
Yeah figured as much, cheers.
Any tips on how to get a French door brand name fridge in that price bracket? Graysonline/"refurbished" sales?
@goingDHfast: I would never ever touch a seconds place. I shop at Harvey Norman because I have friends there. Be open to other brands too, such as Mitsubishi. They make good fridges and aircons but that's about it. They have good GP too.
Buying fridges can be hard to recommend to people because of the cutout in their kitchen. No point buying a fridge to wind up with a $1000 cabinetry bill because it doesn't fit.
Can get a Panasonic 547L for $900.
Just depends on what they have bought for cheap with big markups. Speak to someone, ask them to go through batch codes and see what they have which was bought in cheap because perhaps they did a splitch batch between another store and bought 10.
@[Deactivated]: Do you have a link for the 547 panasonic?
@Gotchas: https://www.harveynorman.com.au/panasonic-547l-primefresh-fr…
This model. Reviews are limited, but if you get 5 years out of a fridge these days you're doing well! Samsung's barely last 12 months. But for the price, it's not a big deal. Ive SEEN $12000 fridges break within 12 months.
Long live the days of fridges lasting 20 years etc.
@[Deactivated]: Big difference to your first price
Can get a Panasonic 547L for $900.
@Gotchas: That's not an advertised price lol.
That's not how Harvey Norman works.
As I said go in and speak to someone. Sit down, work out a deal.
See what they have in stock through batch numbers and what's currently a good seller, means they buy more so you save more. Sometimes the manufacturer puts spiffs on things too or further discounts on models so they buy them cheaper. That model behind the scenes sells for around $1000 delivered ($60- $100 delivery generally)
@[Deactivated]: Got it
Thanks for the intel
@[Deactivated]: Do you still have the receipt so we could get other stores to price match?
Lol yer friend had hisense fridge… The door fell off after 5 months. The damn door! Lol
@mintygirl: The TVs are bad too. Big return rates.
Any bargains?
I went through it all last night, no bargains.
Mavic Mini is listed as part of the sale but is at full retail price haha
Part of their colossal sale
Nice try Gerry Harvey, would rather set myself on fire than give you my money
What item is 50% off? The fridge?
Not for the fridge. Haven't checked them all, but there are some 25% discounts on computers and home appliances. Given that HN is normally so overpriced, they may really be a lower percentage than that.
They usually sell a fridge for $5k? 😂😂😂
prices are the same but written in red, nice try Gerry
Any thoughts on Hitachi fridge - RX730GAXK ?
Looking at it as my Mitsubishi is dying
So they have a little $10 item that is 50% to be able to say up to 50% off
All the sale laptops have trash specs compared to their price. Didn't expect otherwise tbh.
Any bargains
